BRAND PARTNERSHIPS

We help organisations and brands engage more deeply with clients, customers and employees. Drawing on storytelling, film, philosophy, psychology, literature and art, we create thought-provoking content, beautiful objects and unique experiences enabling audiences to connect with a wider purpose.

The Hero’s Journey collaborates with prominent brands around the globe. Learn more about our brand partnerships in the following examples:

Luxury Hotel: Journeys for the Mind

A luxury hotel group was seeking a way to delight both the bodies and the minds of their guests –  in particular, their longings for human connection and for serenity.   The Hero’s Journey produced a variety of customer experience interventions to turn their hotels into more emotionally fulfilling places by equipping rooms with a ‘Minibar for the Mind’, a set of storytelling tools to foster creativity, self-understanding and reflection.   What Story Are You Living Now? Conversation Menus were also served in the restaurants and slices of storytelling wisdom were offered with the turn-down service.   “The Hero’s Journey represents the best of creative and cutting edge thinking.” Creative Director Hotel Group

Financial Services Company – Newlyweds – Richer Conversations

Would you be insulted if I returned a present you bought for me in exchange for something else I really wanted?  To create a deeper emotional connection for newlyweds, The Hero’s Journey created for a client in the financial services industry a questionnaire prompt set called, ‘What is Your Story about Money?’ to help couples navigate tricky conversations around finances.  A follow-up project could be to create a set of questions for over-50s couples thinking ahead to the next stage of life . A richer conversation.

Retail Bank: Café Conversations

To challenge the misconception that traditional bricks and mortar banks are irrelevant, The Hero’s Journey worked with a retail bank to create a curriculum of storytelling workshops, talks and 1:1 coaching sessions, which can be delivered in bank branches, where customers could explore their emotional relationship with money in relaxed spaces.   Topics included: how to spend in line with personal values, identifying unconscious habits and beliefs, and exploring how to talk about financial concerns and goals with family members.

Customer Testimonials:  “They are trying to relate to the real world and be more than some stodgy financial institution on the street corner”. “Being able to connect my values with the way I manage my finances was so helpful. I walked away with a completely new understanding of my relationship with money”. “I learned that until you address your emotions, you can’t responsibly handle your money”.

Private Bank: Storytelling Breakfasts

In partnership with a private bank The Hero’s Journey produced 12 essays on topics such as Family, Legacy, Ambition, Trust & Decisions, alongside holding exclusive ‘Storytelling Breakfasts’ – intimate events to encourage and inspire meaningful conversations –  to help advisors talk with their clients about wealth as part of a more fulfilled life. The essays received a very positive response from the private bank’s clients, generating  syndicated articles in key media outlets and driving a significant increase in website traffic to their website and followers on LinkedIn.

Insurance Company: Taboo Conversations

What do you lie about the most to your parents or partner?  When an insurance company identified that a general reluctance to talk about taboo subjects can inhibit us from properly planning for our future, The Hero’s Journey created a storytelling game called ‘Quest’, consisting of 100 questions on taboo topics such as money, health, age, and sex. The Hero’s Journey then held a class on ‘How to have Taboo Conversations’ for press contacts and the public, to encourage conversations around taboo topics and inspire new ways to think, and talk about our futures.
